FAQ – Open Camps & Training Days

Can I hire equipment?
Yes, you can hire skis, boots, and poles at the centre, free of charge. However, please ensure that you bring your own helmet and gloves. Skiers without these items will not be able to participate in the camp and will not be eligible for a refund. For more information on equipment hire, please contact the slope directly, as Precise Racing is not responsible for the equipment provided.

What clothing should skiers wear?
For skiing on dry slopes, all skiers must wear long sleeves, long trousers, and gloves. Tracksuit bottoms or joggers paired with a long-sleeved top or hoodie are commonly worn. This attire ensures both comfort and safety during training.

Are parents/guardians expected to stay for the duration of the training?
Parents and guardians are welcome to leave their child(ren) in our care for the day. Please make sure that we have accurate contact details when booking, in case we need to reach you. Additionally, ensure your child has enough food and drink to stay energised throughout the day.

Is lunch included?
Skiers are required to bring their own food and drink, as lunch is not provided by Precise Racing. Please check directly with the slope for any additional catering options or facilities they may offer.

What is the minimum age and ski ability requirement?
We do not have any specific age restrictions for our camps. However, we expect all skiers to be able to ski from top to bottom in a controlled manner and to use the lift independently. Skiers should be comfortable with basic skiing skills before attending.

Will the skiers be split into groups?
Yes, skiers will be assessed during their warm-up by our coaches. Based on ability, experience, age, and existing friendships, the coaches will split the skiers into manageable groups. This ensures each skier receives personalised attention and feedback from our coaches.

Do you offer any fitness or off-slope activities?
Yes, for our 3-day or 4-day camps, we typically include off-slope activities to promote team bonding and overall fitness. Please ensure your child brings a pair of suitable trainers and a water bottle for these activities.

Will my child be skiing full gates or stubbies?
During the training days and camps, we set up a variety of courses to help strengthen each skier’s technique. Depending on their level, the programme may include timing, GS panels, full slalom gates, stubbies, or carrots, all aimed at enhancing their skill set with valuable feedback from our coaches.
